I am a natural light photographer who has been shooting families and events for the last 10 years. Most of my prior business came through friends and family referrals which was great for being a hobbyist. Now that I am taking this on professionally, my world has changed so much and I am wanting to take on more work. It is amazing how when you do something you love it really does not feel like a job! Many photographers shoot either a photojournalist way or only do staged photographs. My style incorporates both methods in order to give my client the most of their photo experience. I want each customer to have those beautiful photographs they show to friends and family, yet also document those fun and candid moments that they can pass on to each generation. For most of my sessions, I always ask the client to bring activities for them to do after we do the staged photograph portion of the shoot. For families and kids this gives them the opportunity to have fun and be themselves. The one compliment I hear time and time again from my clients is that I am able to capture their family as the really are; and for mothers especially this is priceless.
