I walked in to a photography class at Scottsdale Community College and at the end of the class, my instructor told me I should check out a little school called Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Being a desert dweller all my life, I had never seen the ocean, so naturally, I applied right away. I moved out in 2001 and honed my portraiture craft.
