I'm an
Agency / Company
We are putting together an artfully-rendered calendar to raise money for Compassionate Care ALS. The calendar will be sold on my business's website, smokylakemaple..... My background: I have worked in the advertising industry as an Art Director for 14 years. First at an agency called Jacobson Rost where I worked on promotions for companies such as Leinenkugels and Miller Brewing Company and packaging design for companies such as Culver’s and Patrick Cudahy. After moving to Kaukauna, I worked for a couple different companies in the area (RR Donnelly and Insight Creative). As of last year, I am now focusing my efforts full time on my own business, Smoky Lake Maple Products which I run with my husband, Jim. I oversee all Marketing, Promotions, Packaging and Charitable Giving Programs. My photographer’s background: Che Correa is an awesome photographer that lives in the Neenah area. Historically she has specialized in boudoir photography, but also does things like senior portraits n such. She currently works full time for The Scene. You can view some of her work on her website: http://....com/ Why we are doing this project: It is very important to me to do at least one or two large projects each year which give back to our community. This year, I chose to benefit Compassionate Care ALS because one of our very good customers out in New Hampshire has ALS and his story really touched my heart. I have talked extensively with the founder of Compassionate Care ALS and I whole heartedly support their mission. About the Calendar Style: All scenes in the calendar will be scenes from the maple industry (for example, tapping trees or bottling maple syrup...), but this is NOT your average boring calendar. The style of the photography is similar to what was done in the movie “Calendar Girls”. The photos contain implied nudity but sensitive areas are never actually visible. All the photos will be artistic, fun, beautiful and classy. We will work within each model's comfort level. The reason I chose this style is because I want our efforts to have maximum impact and sell a ton of calendars. Many people who have ALS have really inspired me to try to live each day to the fullest. They have encouraged me to never be scared or hold back. ...So that is why I am seeking bold women with big hearts. Together, we are going to be raising a lot of money to benefit Compassionate Care ALS and that is something we can all be very proud of. Our next shoot: I have three openings for our next shoot. The shoot will be held on the afternoon of Saturday June 20 in Manitowac Wisconsin. (exact time and address will be shared with accepted participants only). This is a closed photoshoot which will NOT be open to anyone who is not participating for obvious reasons. Models should bring: 1. Underwear :) 2. A robe 3. Outdoor boots that are OK to potentially get muddy if we shoot outdoors. 4. Do your own hair and makeup to look natural. 5. Pasties or “lily pads" to cover chest during the shoot are optional. So far none of our models have used them but that is for each individual model to decide. Compensation: You will receive a copy of your final, retouched photo and your name will be listed in the Calendar credits. Neither I nor my photographer are making a penny on this project. All proceeds go to Compassionate Care ALS. Thanks for your kind consideration!
