I'm an
Individual
May 25, 2020: Hello! My name is Carl Bond and I’m from Olympia, Washington. There are many sources of information about me on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram, even with my own domain. If you are hesitant about what I have to say about myself, spend a moment (or an hour?) looking into me online. If necessary to show you, I have a list of recommendations for you on people I’ve known for at least two years. Some of the people on this list I’ve known for 15 years. Due to the nature of this website, you will only find four pictures. One of them I took this month and the three others were taken at an Olympia ArtsWalk event in April of 2015. In the 2015 photos, you can see a display of the thumbnails I was able to present in a folio, something which I have lost since. But in the thumbnails, you can see the three other images I had made into stretched canvas that can be hung on a wall, which are the items I still have from the event. And stretched canvas isn't that expensive to produce... I can show you how! Yes, I can use my phone and laptop to create a masterful work of art from any image, even an image of YOU! Whoever you are, whatever your prowess or expertise is beyond modeling, there are so many possibilities of illustration of you for me to create… that modeling might be the easiest work you'll ever do, especially for the time and effort spent, trying to perfect that look! What I mean by that is, whether you are a customer service representative on the phone, a cashier at a grocery store or a cook at a restaurant… none of those jobs can be easier than to find illustrative styles for me to work on, to create a presence online of you that you wish to share to others! Or to sell those works of art online, where a campaign of tweets and posts you'll make generate interest... and if you'll stick with it long enough... revenue! So, in the styles of art I can create, imagine a digital oil painting, or a digital watercolor or even a digital ink wash… of YOU! And combining some random effects makes the art even more spectacular and magical! One might even call the created art timeless! I wish to create so many wonderful things… a digital Mona Lisa, for example! Not the Mona Lisa that everyone knows… that’s already been done, about 500 years ago. I mean, your portrait with the backdrop of Puget Sound or the State Capitol over your shoulder. Maybe the character or figure in the image (you) has a superpower? Maybe you are dressed in this image in clothes or an outfit you don’t normally wear? There are so many wonderful things to create, either from your direction or with your permission. So, may I ask you for your help or do you want mine? I cannot wait to show you what I can do. If you also can't wait to meet up, we can meet up over virtual coffee at any time, at least by a phone call. What I seek is to not only be challenged as an artist, but I want to be challenged personally. Just as there are diverse ways for me to manipulate photos, I also have diverse interests outside of photography that I want to to tap into! Do you like board games or to hike through Downtown Olympia? Do you like to have long-form conversations? Do you dream about art, even when you sleep? Forgive me for approaching this site as something more than just for job-hunting. I seek something much more than that and it is not financial compensation. My needs are covered. I am working and I know many people are not so lucky. But my job offers little creativity. The paycheck from work is incredible, but sometimes, the job is about as dull and empty as the job can get. Yes, even while I still work as others quarantine, I isolate myself on my days off. There is an emptiness of boredom that I want to fill, no, to escape from… with activities involving you, of walking and listening to music, long walks and even longer talks… about anything, really. Of browsing art museums and galleries for inspiration. Yes, you’ve probably heard of the quotation “good artists copy and great artists steal,” but with the right person with me as a muse, there would probably be no room for copying or stealing at all. What I mean by that is that I can imagine being with someone who wouldn’t mind being photographed for hours and using that effort to illustrate what you (we?) want to accomplish, in you, being a model. Who lives there, beyond that photographed, painted or drawn face? What kind of music would she enjoy, people may ask for years after the photo is taken. What is around her? What is she looking at, even as she looks towards the camera and those viewing the photo or illustration? If there is an appetite for one to pose for seconds and moments at a time, there would be no need for one to borrow the works of art in any other time, from any other place, because YOU are that TRUE WORK OF ART that should be celebrated FOR OTHERS TO SEE. No kidding, but deep down inside, we all have a soul and an energy to share. What’s yours that you wish to share? Maybe I am a dreamer, but my vision is so broad and diverse… it really does make me wonder of the possibilities if I were to find someone that is as passionate about art as I am… what that would be like, how would it shape the world around us for years to come, how to earn money from that desire? So I wish to help out in such a way that cures boredom for you and perhaps even help you earn some money on the side. If what I can do for you for free gives you these incentives to invest more time in your photography, one that more people would want to see, I call that a worthwhile investment into the future, a financial status for the future. But that's just me? In person, I’m not always this serious. Sometimes I can be a total goofball. And sarcastic. And self-deprecating. And a little weir-, er, nutty. And clums- er, unskillful? But I’ve known to be this much into my thoughts, thinking, thinking, thinking... lest you be warned…? Planning the art, visualizing the art, visualizing about the planning of the art… Oh dear. Also, I’ve been known to cover two miles by foot in 25 minutes! Do you think you can catch up to me? I’d love to see you try! =) Or is it (= ? Haha, the world may never know……….... =P =D Thank you very much for your time! Be well and happy!
