I come to photography with a background in ethnography, where I learned to observe, listen, and document the world around me. This has deeply influenced how I approach my work as a photographer—patient, thoughtful, and focused on capturing moments as they unfold naturally. I work almost exclusively with natural light. For me, it’s not just about how the light looks, but how it feels—grounding a photograph in its environment and allowing the moment to speak for itself. Whether using mirrorless, DSLR, or rangefinder cameras, I focus on creating images that feel true to the subject and the space they inhabit. My work is influenced by photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Alex Webb, and Stephen Shore. Cartier-Bresson’s sense of timing and intuition has shaped my belief in the power of capturing moments that feel both spontaneous and meaningful. Webb’s complex compositions and rich color palettes taught me to embrace chaos and look for deeper connections in the layers of a scene. Shore, with his focus on the everyday, inspired me to find beauty in the ordinary and the often overlooked. Photography, for me, is about more than just creating images.
