Hello, I'm Heather, an impassioned equine lover and photographer based in midwestern Ohio. I excel at reliably capturing crystal-clear equines through my lens. I specialize in horse racing and also have several years' worth of experience in multiple categories of equine sports and portraits. I love to work with the ideas that clients come up with for their equine friend(s) and am willing to make your idea work to the best of all our abilities. I understand that every horse has their personality, and some may be more amenable to tolerating photographs than others. I try to work quickly and quietly with the horse, but I do like to get to know them first. I appreciate it when the client participates in the session and helps to create their vision! I am not afraid to "get it just right" for the client. These are your memories, after all! My photography style can be described as natural, with vibrant but realistic colors, and I am perceptive to creating a fully aesthetic capture. I also enjoy dramatic black-and-white images if that is the desired style. I love to work with the individuality of the equine subject and utilize them and the backgrounds available to create timeless images. I prefer natural light for a photo shoot, but we can always be creative. I use Professional Canon equipment and have one camera that makes the *click* sounds, and one that does not, in case your friend is shutter-shy! I have a variety of Canon lenses (and expanding) that are top-of-the-line with a large range of distance afforded to me. If you want an up-close "snoot" photo, or running in their pasture, I've got you! Whether you are at your farm, the track, hacking around a trail, or jumping a fence, I am willing to go there! I love the outdoors and am not afraid of mud, rain, or critters! I am willing to work indoors as well. I can also do conformation photos for stallions or other bloodstock sales needs.
