Photographer in Washington, District of Columbia

Hello, my name is Matthew Tamke. I am a photographer, videographer, editor, assistant instructor, and artist currently based in the Charlotte Metro area. I've obtained an Associates Degree in Teleproduction Technology from York Technical College and have also studied fine art photography at Winthrop University. Despite no longer being an academic student, I am constantly obsessed with learning, experimenting, and finding ways to challenge myself to produce everchanging yet meaningful artwork. Much of what I create deals in themes of chronology, nostalgia, and observing objects/entities within their surroundings. While never limiting how I express myself through artistic mediums, my primary channel is digital and/or film photography. Whether I am in the darkroom, behind a computer monitor, or occasionally still editing video on tape, I am always seeking to make mechanisms of inspiration for myself and others.
