Hello! My name is Ashleigh! I am a self-taught Phoenix, AZ Photographer. I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. I started young with disposable cameras. My Poppop bought me my first camera that I would just have to replace the film. It was always so exciting to see how my photos turned out. Of course, while I was young I mostly took still photography; pictures of things around me. For my 15th birthday, I saved up enough money to buy my first digital camera. I took that thing with me EVERYWHERE! I took pictures with friends, of family functions, or of things I thought were beautiful; especially nature. Welcome to the digital age of SMART PHONES! Once I had a smart phone in my hands my digital camera unfortunately started to gather up some dust. However, in 2017 I decided to save up and invest in my Sony a6300 (what I currently shoot on). I have been shooting friends, family, my kiddos, and concerts on this bad boy and boy has it been a journey! Since investing in my camera I have been self taught in everything regarding my camera, lenses, Photoshop, and Lightroom! I ultimately am striving to shoot concert photography, but I absolutely love working with couples and families! I prefer to capture candid moments instead of posed ones. Capturing pure moments is what it is all about for me. Those moments are where the emotions are, therefore, the memory you want to remember. Rebel Photography originally started as Oh Deer Photography. I chose to change the name because I didn’t feel like it quite fit, nor did it make since for both concert and family photography. Rebel Photography got it’s name inspired by Star Wars. I was watching a Star Wars marathon - specifically A New Hope - and that’s when I felt that “Rebel” Photography just clicked!
