“Photography is a love affair with life” – Burk Uzzle 1938 Growing up spending my summers and weekends in a cabin along the Chilliwack river, I learned to see the beauty in life through the lens with my Grandpa. We would sit for hours waiting for a perfect shot of a hummingbird, or a cloud descending on the nearest mountain, or a group of rafters floating by on the river. He taught me to appreciate the little moments in life and capture them eternally in a photograph. When I shoot, I want my subjects to be free and natural, without restriction. It’s there that I can find the perfect moments that express the moods we are trying to create.
