I have done my undergraduate studies from one of the prime engineering institutes of India where I pursued Electronics and telecommunication engineering. During my undergraduate studies itself, I was placed as a Programmer Analyst Trainee at global provider of custom information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing processes. This is one of the fastest growing tech companies of the world (as listed by Fortune Magazine) and I will be having work experience for couple of months before admission. Electronic gadgets have fascinated me to a large extent and used to play with them, spoiling it and again repairing with my own hands this made an indelible influence on my carrier orientation so Electronics becomes an obvious choice for my undergraduate education. Which further compelled me to fight a highly competitive All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for admission to the National Institute of Technology, Raipur (a leading technical institute of national importance) and with all the efforts and dedicated preparation I was ranked in the top 1% for the nearly 14,00,00... students who took the examination. My hard work during schools education as I ended up securing 85.8% in 10th board, 89.7% in 12th, helped me a lot to understand the fundamentals of the AIEEE exams. Even I realized that where today corporate world is becoming global by nature, I am still lacking the same the education with global perspective limiting my horizons. After realizing the fact that restricting to one area of study with tremendous competition around is not very helpful to secure a niche in today’s corporate world I started reconsidering the options available. Although the undergraduate courses & interns enabled me to grasp little bit of the seamless world of Information systems as I am known till now, they did not present an opportunity to thoroughly understand the technologies that are current within the industry. Therefore, while a Bachelor’s degree provides a sound alternative to taking a direct leap from schooling fundamentals to industry standards, it is still insufficient for an engineer to analyze the professional world. I had also taken up courses of Computer Programming, Computational Technique and C/C as a part of curriculum of Bachelor of Technology, apart from which I also use Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. I am therefore confident that this base coupled with the four years of my undergraduate education would provide a sound background for graduate study in software engineering. I shall work to the best of my capabilities and utilize every opportunity given to me in the best possible way.
