Hello! My name is Brianne Hagardt and while I work as a teacher, I also have a photography certificate from SAIT, wherein I have been practicing photography for the past 6 years. I have spent the past decade traveling on and off throughout many different countries, capturing culture through people, landscape, environment and lifestyle. This is where my passion for photography really increased, leading me to taking courses at the college and then eventually teaching photography courses at college. While working as fire fighter for the forestry for eight years, I spent a significant amount of time working with wildlife and landscape photography; however, in more recent years, much of my work in BC and Alberta has been spent doing photo sessions for families and couples including pregnancies, engagements, anniversaries, graduations, and a fair bit of baby photography as well. Photos capture the various moments of our lives that make up our stories so I most enjoy capturing moments that are unique to individuals and believe in candid authenticity when shooting. I find that photo shoots can be rather uncomfortable or feel forced to some people and my ideal scenarios are going to a place (indoor or outdoor) that my clients most enjoy and feel comfortable in so they can be themselves and interact with their environment and the people in it more naturally. The stories of people's lives are worth capturing and therefore photography should be affordable without insulting a photographer's intellectual property and skill set.
