Photographer in Mc Kinney, Texas

My name is Sion Lee, and I am interested in working as an part-time photographer. I learned about this opportunity when I was looking up up photography jobs on Google. I think that if i do get this job, it would be a way for me to learn new things and work with my hobby of photography more. I graduated from Denton High School in 2016 with 3.96 GPA. I started attending Collin College in August 2016. I am currently in my second year and I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering field of study. I was a part of high school band program through all four years. Currently, I am part of this fellowship organization called FOCUS. Through that, I participate in a small group on weekly basis, big fellowship gathering on thursday nights, and organized ministry and social events. In addition, I also meet up with people and occasionally help out by working with powerpoint slides and playing percussion during the fellowship time, and taking photos. My hobbies include photography, playing percussion instruments, researching about automotive, and working with some technologies. Photography and working with technologies is also some of my skills I work with. I have been pursuing photography hobby since the March of this year. Though this does not sound like it’s a long time of experience, I feel that I have been learning new techniques and skills through this hobby. I got into photography through FOCUS ministry group, where there are quite a bit of people who does photography regularly as a hobby or professionally for their side-job. Whether if it’s portraits of people, nature shots, and events, I would often see their photography work on social media or on their own photography websites. So looking at their photos inspired me to pursue this hobby. I started out by taking photos of my friends in my college ministry. As the time went on, I took photos of social events, portrait shots, and backgrounds. Some of the technologies I have either knowledge in or have worked with includes basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel), computers system operations, and my Canon Rebel Xsi camera. My previous job experiences include both volunteer works and part-time jobs. My volunteer experiences include church VBS and summer camp teacher’s volunteer. I previously worked at Steak N Shake as a shift worker for four months. I currently work at an elementary school for Plano ISD after-school care PASAR, where my job is supervising kids, helping them with homeworks during academics, and making sure that they are safe. Even though I only been doing been doing photography for less than a year, I feel that I can be right for this photography job, because I’m interested in taking professional photos. Not only that, but as I have not had as much time to pursue my hobby due to school, work, and ministry activities, I think that working at this job would be an opportunity for me to not only get a part-time job at photography, but also to keep developing new photography skills and further work with my hobby. Plus, I like getting to meet and communicating with new people. Moreover, I like getting to take professional photos of different people. I would love to show you some of the photos of people I took with my Canon camera, which includes action shots, portraits, and event scenes. As far as my availability, if hired, I can start this job sometime next semester. I will able to start possibly around mid-February at earliest.
