Photographer in Memphis, Tennessee

I am a photographer in the greater Memphis metro area seeking consistent work that allows me to use my skills to the best of my ability and benefit the community in which I grew up. I currently have a full-time job as the managing editor of a local paper, and I shoot most of the photos to accompany my stories. I also am a freelance photographer for RSVP Magazine, a local society publication that focuses on nonprofit events. I shoot anywhere from 50-60 photos per event and provide cutlines. In addition, I am an artistic photographer and have a Google drive with some of my more experimental shots on there for anyone interested in viewing those. My photography won best spot news photograph at the 2015 Mississippi Press Association Awards for a photo I took of a young man being sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Ideally, I would like to find a job that's either full-time, or contract. I have a great deal of freelance work I can do, but there are only 24 hours in a day! I can do freelance assignments if they are one-time or have a similar timeline; unless the pay is highly competitive, though, I already am doing a lot of freelance photography (and writing) work and need to find something a little more stable.
