Photographer in Madison, Wisconsin

I'm TJ (or Thomas, Hunter, Teej, TeJota, Jota, Têzinho, da Buddha--amongst other names). My journey into photography began in the 3rd grade when I ordered my first photography book and camera through the Scholastic Book Club. In junior high school I received my grandpa's 35mm Nikon and began to teach myself manual photography. Over the years my interest in still images has grown, and my style and skills have evolved. I am primarily a natural light photographer with photojournalistic tendencies. I like catching the small moments--a glance, a laugh, a tear--, because I feel that's where truth, emotion and storytelling exist. I'm always excited to collaborate with new people to help tell their story. I am based in southeast Wisconsin and Dominical, Costa Rica (and ready to travel worldwide!).
