I am an image maker by profession and obsession. As the Director of Photography and Editor for Photo-Graphics I promote the power of visual communication in modern culture. I have decades of experience in Visual Communications as a Photographer, Graphic Designer, Producer, Director in digital media and video production. I have worked for over a thousand clients representing every sector and spanning 17 countries and four continents. I have combined the art and science of message design with my talents as a visual artist into a life long career as a commercial photographer and communication designer. I have contributed to the success of a number of cultural organizations i have taught photography at Sheridan Collages School of Visual Arts, while serving as the creative director for Insight Communications. I have served as a magazine editor and has curated exhibits for Photo-Graphics and The Arts Club. I have had the privilege to be the dean of visual arts for Creative Arts Institute for a number of years where i continued to promote and teach about visual communications solutions in multiple genres. I may be a master photographer but i see myself primarily as a perpetual student of imaging and of life. Over the years i have had the privilege to have worked with and for some of the best image makers in the world. Currently I am the director of photography and video production for the Media Arts Group and work with a select group of private clients out of my studio Garnet McPherson Imagineering in Victoria British Columbia.
