When it comes to my approach to shooting portraits, I recognize that no two people are alike. In other words, our personas. My mission is to draw the person out of the persona a little bit. The things that drive and push you: your intentions, your motivations, your dreams and aspirations, the things you love and live for? That’s all YOU. When it comes to your wedding day, I'm just the photographer you want to have around. I'm claim, cool, collective and dedicated to capturing the real moments that will stand the test of time. When I'm shooting I'm looking for the interactions between family and friends that happen in between the major events of the day, that can easily go un-noticed. Saying that, I have just as much fun shooting the formal portraits. My approach to the formals are also very natural and not overly posed. There is no need for a Bride and Groom to feel as though they need to be somebody other than themselves in front of the lens. I mostly let the energy of the day and the surroundings carry the portraits, though some direction is necessary as it's natural for Brides and Grooms to not feel 100comfortable in front of the camera. With my approach it's a fun and easygoing part of the day for everyone. My goal is to give you images that tell the whole story and will have the same impact 10 or 20 years from now as they do the first time you see them.
