Owner/Operator Charles Ebbs Photography Carleton Place ON/Toronto ON 1990 – to present Over the past 25 years I have shot over 600 weddings and innumerable portraits; families, babies, work groups, events, headshots, etc. My corporate and commercial clients have included Canada Post, Mazda, Canada, the Canadian Automobile Association Magazine, Lockheed Martin, Bubble Tech, Ellis Don, the Ottawa Carleton School Board, Sinclair Dental Group, amongst others. I have a broad range of skills and experience but I am always on the lookout to learn something new. My style of both portrait and wedding shooting has become increasingly photojournalistic over the years—even more so with the advent of digital (switched from film in 2005/06)—where a collaborative approach is more important than ever. I have had the good fortune to work with web developers over the past few years in shooting for a variety of business website as well as shooting catalogue style photos for online retail. Needless to say, I am very comfortable working with people in dynamic settings—it is my favourite part of the job. I am in a constant learning mode when it comes to Lightroom and Photoshop in order that I maintain a currency in the industry—and I feel that my decades of film work actually puts me ahead of the curve in understanding of the requirements of a finished photographic product.
