I'm an
Individual
Diego Magdaleno professional boxer and the WBO number one contender will head to England to fight Terry Flanagan for his WBO World Lightweight title. Diego is a fashion forward boxer and a little of an anomaly in the sport of boxing. Diego takes great pride in his outfit selection and maintaining his appearance despite the rough and tough sport he makes his living in. Global Sports Streaming GSS is looking to capture Diego's personality outside the ring by setting up a photo shoot with a local photographer in the Palm Springs area. We are also looking for someone to dress Diego for the shoot and possibly for his fight week in England. We plan on having video cameras at the shoot to capture it all and we'd prefer a photographer with a studio or a great location to do the shoot. There is a possibility of live streaming the photo shoot. From a designer we'd like to dress Diego in suits and clothes that show off Diego's fashion forward sense. Talking to Diego and meeting with Diego before the shoot would not be a problem. Diego's fight will be on Box Nation which is broadcast on Sky, Virgin, & Talk Talk in Europe and the UK and on livesports..... in the U.S.. Diego will participate in several events during the week leading up to the fight and can be showing off your designs. There are trade and exposure possibilities for both the photographer and the designer. The shoot will go out on GSS's network and the fight week events and the fight will go out globally. The possibility for a sponsorship patch on Diego's fight night shorts is open for discussion. We are looking for a mutually beneficial relationship for Diego, the photographer and the designer. There are many professional boxers in the Coachella Valley that we have access to so this can be an on going project going forward. About Diego: • Twitter: @DiegoMagdaleno Facebook...../TopRankDiegoMagdaleno • Ranked WBO #1, WBC #22 at 135 pounds; IBF #11 at 130 pounds. . . • WBO International lightweight champion. . . • World championship fights: 0-1. . . • Former jr. lightweight world title challenger. . . • Former NABF super featherweight champion, five successful defenses. . . • 2007 U.S. National Championships (amateur), 132 pounds -- Gold Medalist. . . • 2004 Western Olympic Trials (amateur), 125 pounds -- Gold Medalist. . . At the age of 28, Diego is a seven-year pro. A contender at 135 pounds -- ranked No. 1 by the WBO -- he is a former amateur standout. He is the older brother, by five years, of junior featherweight prospect Jessie Magdaleno. He moved up from 130 pounds to the lightweight division in November, 2014, and has won two fights at the higher weight. Altogether, he has won five fights in a row. In his last fight on June 26 in Hidalgo, Texas, Diego won by seventh-round TKO against Jose "Chelo" Gonzalez. After the fight, Dan Rafael wrote on ESPN..... [excerpts]: In April 2013, Magdaleno lost a split decision challenging Rocky Martinez for a junior lightweight world title in Macau, China. Now Magdaleno is on the verge of another title shot, having moved up to lightweight. . .. Magdaleno did what he had to do and was seemingly on the way to victory when he landed a clean and powerful body shot that dropped Gonzalez, who put on an Oscar-worthy acting performance and sold referee Luis Pabon that it was a low blow. Replays showed it was a perfectly legal shot that landed solidly. But Gonzalez refused to continue even after Pabon gave him five minutes to recover. Pabon ruled that it had been an accidental foul -- not intentional -- so when Gonzalez did not continue after the five-minute recovery time Magdaleno was ruled a knockout winner. He should have just been ruled a KO winner 10 seconds after the punch. [End Rafael item] Diego had an impressive amateur career that included wins against Mikey Garcia, who went on to win the WBO featherweight and junior lightweight world titles, and contenders Sadam Ali, Jerry Belmontes, and Michael Dallas Jr.
