Photographer in Toronto, Ontario

I'm Matt, a photographer based in Toronto, Ontario but originally from Newfoundland! My main areas of focus are events, live music, and landscape photography and portraits, but I'm open to anything you can throw at me. I play guitar, and used to be a rockstar (I'm kidding) on the west coast of Newfoundland in Corner Brook. Our band was called U-Turn. I dabble in piano as well, but realistically only know 2 songs (Don't Stop Believing and Bed of Roses). I'm a golf fanatic. I play whenever I get the chance to, even in freezing cold weather. Winter hat, gloves, 3 layers, it doesn't matter to me - I'm that dedicated. I graduated from business school in 2011, and liked it so much that I decided to go back for more. A year and half later, I completed the MBA program. I'll talk business with anyone, anyday, anytime. I love food. Pizza, ice cream, chocolate, sushi, steak, chicken, kiwi, and kale believe it or not. I'm not picky when it comes to food. I'm naturally a relaxed, quiet, analytical guy, but photography allows me to put myself out there. It allows me to break out of my shell, to express myself, to tell the story from my point of view. It excites me. I love it.
