Photographer Job in Brownsville, Texas

An experienced Dallas based event photography team is currently looking for individuals experienced in photographing action/sports events in the South Padre, TX area. It's important that an individual in this role have a strong photography background and be able to demonstrate experience directly. They must have an understanding of how to capture an individual or group in action, particularly in an often chaotic environment. The candidate may receive training on the job in terms of how to capture the best images in specific environments, or on the sporting event itself. Photographers are paid a day rate dependent on the size of the event and number of hours anticipated. Candidate must be able to stand for up to 4-6 hours. Equipment: Pro/Semi-Pro Nikon/Canon DSLR camera body (6fps and higher preferred) an appropriate telephoto zoom lens (70-200mm f/2.8 preferred), a wide angle telephoto and flash sometimes required. Qualifications: - Photography experience and a level of technical expertise in operating camera in Manual Mode. - Professional, self-motivated and multi-tasking skills. - Perform maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment working properly. - Detail oriented in posing and framing subjects. - Thrives in a fast-paced, highly productive and collaborative environment with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. - Able to work in a team environment. - Website or other portfolio of previous work available for review.
