Justin Tompkins is an American photographer, filmmaker and journalist utilizing analog and digital processes. Justin loves to interact with the world in a manner free of obstruction. He establishes personal relationships with his clients and subjects creating an atmosphere of nuanced creativity and collectiveness. Justin strives to continually grow as a storyteller to shed an honest and thought-provoking glimpse of the world. He's traveled around the world but grew up in a rural town with limited stimulus which led him to learn that life is what you make of it and that’s exactly what he had to do. Experience has taught Justin that to understand others we must understand ourselves. We cannot think without language. The storyteller is our translator. He's a storyteller for this reason –– to give himself and others a way of communicating. He has accomplishments with the Hearst Journalism Awards, an overall winner in the Green Eyeshade Awards and has received 1st place in a couple 48-Hour Film Competitions.
