Photographer Job in Jacksonville, Florida

We are seeking a talented and reliable freelance commercial photographer to capture high-quality product images for our website and online home decor store. The ideal candidate will have plenty of experience in product photography, an eye for detail, and the ability to deliver polished, professionally edited images that are optimized for use on the Shopify platform. Important: Candidates for this project MUST be local to Jacksonville, Florida, have their own transportation to and from the shop to pick up products to photograph, and have access to a studio or alternate location with appropriate lighting to photograph. Responsibilities: -Photograph a variety of products in an offsite studio setting. (You must have access to a studio or be able to set up the lighting, backdrop, etc. at a location of your choosing. Our shop is extremely small and not equipped for photos.) -Ensure images are well-lit, accurately represent the product, meet brand aesthetic and follow the photo guidelines provided. -Edit and retouch photos to enhance quality, including color correction and background removal if necessary. Images should evoke the same tones and color to appear seamless across the website. -Provide final images in the appropriate formats and sizes optimized for our Shopify platform. Requirements: -Proven experience in commercial or product photography. -Strong portfolio showcasing previous product photography work. -Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom for editing. -Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. -Access to a studio setting where images can be shot in consistent light and quality. -Ability to pick up products locally at our shop in Jacksonville, FL and transport them to and from an alternate studio location to photograph. -Provide your own professional camera equipment and lighting gear. (We have a ring light you are welcome to use) Project timeline and scope: There are a number of products we need photographed as well as some high-quality images of the inside and outside of the shop for a website revamp project we are working on. Essentially, we would create checklists of various groups of products to be photographed on a given day that you would pick up at the shop and take with you to shoot offsite. There will be a detailed shot list for each item complete with photo sizes and creative direction. Some of the shots will need to be lightly styled and for these you would meet with the owner or one of our designers at an alternate location to shoot.
