Photographer Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for experienced movement and dance photographers to travel from coast to coast to capture Dance Competitions between March and June. We would be looking to contract you for service throughout that time period. Applicants must be willing to commit to shooting most weekends during this time frame. There may be some additional opportunities outside of this window. At each competition, you will need to capture each dance entry and possess a keen understanding of when to capture the best images in dance. You can be expected to capture routines by taking approximately 30 clicks for a solo/duet/trio performance and approximately 50 clicks for a group performance. Throughout the event, data will be transferred to a laptop and uploaded daily. There are approximately 750 routines to photograph in a weekend. No editing or post is required. Roles and Responsibilities: -Photographing approx. 750 routines over a 4 day weekend -Labeling provided SD cards per day -Syncing camera with provided laptop -Must remain focused and alert when photographing for long days -Must anticipate the movements and emotional moments Qualifications and Experience: -MUST use own professional camera equipment & lenses (SD cards provided) -24-70 F2.8 AND a 70-200 F2.8 (or equivalent) (MUST HAVE) -Minimum of 2 years of experience shooting concerts, sports, dance or events. -Movement photography experience is an asset. -Must be legally entitled to work in Canada -Prepared to commit to work long days from Thursday - Sunday between March and June -Available to work/travel Wednesday through Mondays during the contracted period -Comfortable working for up to 14 hours per day with respective breaks
