About Me: A Minnesota native transplanted to Colorado in search of what inspires me most. The outdoors are where I find purpose and I hope to articulate my love for what is untouched in my photos. Rock climbing is one of my favorite ways to experience what many only observe. Inspiration: It's about capturing the moment for me. Finding natural environment, and being present while they reveal their innate beauty is what drives me to find these places and to share them with others. Landscapes inspire me to be present and to take in every last drop of life around me. There is so much to be seen and I don't want to miss any of it. My portraits combine my love for large spaces mixed with the intimacy of a real life encounter with another human. I don't just like to capture a smile, I live for whats behind the photo. Each portrait is a piece of a much larger picture. Those in between moments are what inspires me to take a persons photo. The unplanned spontaneous way that each person reveals themselves brings depth to what often can be a posed fatality of character. Being a lover of craft, food naturally draws my eye, particularly coffee. The art and dedication to create from your hands something beautiful and delicious can be shared in more ways that actual consumption.
