My exposure to the world of photography… started in my early years watching my father’s slide shows and jumping at the chance to take pictures with his 35mm camera whenever it was time for him to be in a photo. I loved seeing myself and my family’s memories through the eyes of my father. It still amazes me how when I look back on my family’s vacations and birthdays that the most vivid memories are not my own experiences or personal memories, but rather the images my father captured. That’s the true power of photography, and the reason I love being behind the camera! I love photographing weddings... no need to say “smile”. No need to wait for an emotion-filled shot. The abundance of joy, tears, laughter and dancing makes wedding photography both enjoyable and satisfying. My goal is to capture the moments of your wedding day that will bring tears to your eyes for years to come. My Photographic Style... is a photojournalistic approach that not only focuses on the happy couple, but also the details and special people who are sharing in the big day without drawing attention away from the Bride and Groom. My low profile during weddings actually prompted one couple to be a little concerned that I hadn’t taken many photos. In fact, I took more than 2000 images! A successful shot... and what I strive for, is an image that evokes some sort of an emotional response from the viewer, anything else is simply a snapshot and an opportunity lost at capturing the magic of the moment. The Honour was mine... to have been chosen to shoulder the responsibility of photographing some very special people and their families during their everyday or once in a lifetime events and I look forward to the next opportunity to do so.
