Photographer in Edmonton, Alberta
Agency / Company
Before becoming a full-time commercial, fashion, and portrait photographer, Ned Yeung was trained in the art of Visual Communication and worked for various notable corporations in the fields of ad design, illustration, image editing, layout. Through his career a shift happened towards the path of photography, a long-time passion for Ned who was once a print and runway model in Chicago, Illinois. After re-training for this field, he decided to open up a full-time photography studio in downtown Edmonton by the name of Cyclops Photo Studio, representing the single eye through which the photographer sees the world - his camera. He has since filled the pages of both National and International product and fashion catalogs, some ranging up to hundreds or thousands of pages thick, working also as head photographer for local model agency Nouveau Riche. After 10 years of running a photo studio in downtown Edmonton, Ned moved out north of the city to the small town of Legal with his spouse Amanda, where they opened up a new photo studio by the name of Y&Y Photography Studios, representing their new family name of Yakem-Yeung. Their new photo studio was larger than ever, and even features a small café in the front, where they serve barista-made gourmet beverages, fresh-ground coffee, loose leaf tea, and frozen treats. Since then they have moved back into the city of Edmonton where they continue to serve clients with photography and design services.
